An Important Note on SubmissionsIf I were able, I would love to read every book I could get my hands on. Unfortunately, time just does not allow for that, even though I read extremely fast. If I could, I'd sit around and read all day. But I have a full-time job, a family to take care of, and church ministries that I'm involved in, as well.With the rapid popularity growth of this site, I'm getting inundated with books and book review requests. If I could get paid for this, I'd have new reviews up every single day. But unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to do that yet. The average size of my "to read" stack has increased to around 15. Thus, I'm afraid that, for now, I'm going to have to stop accepting books from self-publishing or small press. I still think there are many good books being published that way, but I have to cut back somewhere. Feel free to send me email announcing a book's publication, but please don't expect me to immediately request a copy. If your book's premise, etc., impresses me beyond belief, I'll make an exception. Otherwise, I'll file such emails and keep them for the time when I have more time (if that date ever arrives). I hate to do this, but I'm being swamped with requests, and I have little choice. If you have a book coming out with a major publisher, there's a decent chance that I'll receive a review copy. Feel free to email me, though, if you want to be sure. |
